Gauley River Rafting, Upper Gauley River Rafting

West Virginia is situated in the United States of America. In the field of whitewater rafting West Virginia is a very common name. All the rafting centers in West Virginia State are located beside of two rivers. Names of these two rivers are Gauley River and New River. The rafting zones provide the rafting facilities for the age group from of 6 to 86.

Gauley River rafting zone first! The adventure is more than fun here! The Gauley River rafting consists of very vigorous wave tides and some excellent sightseeing. This rafting zone is divided in two sub-zones with respect to the height. The Upper Gauley river rafting zone needs more rafting skills since the water flow is more vigorous here. Rafting difficulty of this area is of Class-V. The lower Gauley River rafting area is of class-IV rafting difficulty. Safety guaranteed by the authority in this rafting zone.

And now, let us discuss about the New River rafting area. This area is one of the oldest rafting areas in the United States. The water falls from the height of about 1400 feet. So more action and adventure guaranteed also in this place. This area is also divided into two sub regions considering the height of this area. The Upper New rafting area is associated with the rafting difficulty of Class IV and Class V. The rafting difficulty of Lower New rafting area is about Class III.

Because of the proper management skills by the rafting authority of West Virginia these two places become important rafting centers of the country.
