North Carolina consists of four important rafting regions. These four rafting regions are based on Chattooga River , River pigeon, River Nantahala, and River Ocoee. The River Chattooga provides lots of rafting areas beside it! Some of those rafting areas are situated in North Carolina 's southern parts. The rafting difficulty level varies here season to season with respect to the amount of water flowing! The top-level difficulty here is about Grade V.
River Pigeon provides rafting areas like Great Smoky rafting park, Pigeon Forge, Maggie Valley etc . These areas provide the intermediate difficulty level of rafting.
Nantahala River rafting zone is located in Nantahala National Forest and it is one of the favorite places of the rafters. Though it provides the difficulty level of only II or III, still this area is famous for the other sightseeing.
And about the Ocoee River rafting area now! This is the rafting most challenging rafting area for the rafters across the whole North Carolina . Security and challenge offered by this area is just awesome. One of the biggest challenges here is the flow of tremendous cold water!
