Anyone can enjoy the whitewater rafting trips in Chattooga river since the rafting difficulty level of this region lies between Level-II and Level-V. This river is recognized as "Wild and Scenic River" among the rafters. The excellent landscapes beside of the Chattooga River add more flavors to the whitewater rafting. The rafting season in the River Chattooga generally stretches from middle of March to middle of November. The River Chattooga rafting area is divided into three sub regions.
First, the Section-II River rafting zone of rafting difficulty level-II! This area is almost 7-Miles long and has 12-feets depths. This area is famous for the landscapes including wildlife viewing. The second area is named as Section-III River rafting zone and it is of rafting difficulty level-III or V. This area is the most famous among all three rafting regions of River Chattooga. Some of the famous rapids of this region are Dicks Creek Ledge, Eye of the Needle Second Ledge, Bull Sluice, the Narrows and Painted Rock. The last section is called Section-IV and it is of rafting difficulty level III. Some famous rapids situated here are Entrance, Jawbone, Crack-In-the-Rock, Corkscrew, and Sock-Em Dog.
