
Pennsylvania is a state of the United States of America and it is located at the eastern portion of the country. Pennsylvania or simply PA provides lots of great whitewater rafting zones. But of them all, the most famous whitewater-rafting zone is located beside of the River Youghiogheny or simply river Yough.
Some the pros of the Youghiogheny River rafting zone are the strong accommodation power, the stretch of long rafting season, the variation of the rafting difficulty level and the safety measures offered to the rafters. This rafting zone is basically divided into three sub regions. The first one is known as the upper Yough rafting zone with the difficulty level of V and VI with vigorous waters tides. This 10-Miles long area stretches from Sang Run to Friendsville. The Middle Yough Rafting zone is suitable for the beginners. The Lower Yough is of difficulty level III-IV and is one of the most popular rafting zones.
The other famous river that provides the opportunity of whitewater rafting in PA is the River Cheat. The flow of the river is quite unique. This river provides the opportunity of zigzag movement to the rafters. The Rafting Difficulty of River Cheat rafting lies between Level-V and Level-VI. So this is the place for the experienced rafting campaigners. But the main disadvantage of this area is its less availability. This rafting zone is available only for 3 months viz. April to June.
