Montana Rafting zones are one of the oldest rafting zones of USA as well as of the entire globe. The Glacier National Park is the main rafting center of Montana ! The River, which serves as the best river zone of Montana, is The Flathead River and it passes by the Glacier National Park, Montana.

The Flathead River rafting zone is of 219-Miles length. This area is divided into two sub regions. North Fork Flathead River Rafting Zone is located near Glacier National Park . This area is suitable for beginners and intermediate skilled rafters. The general rafting difficulty of this area is of Class-I or Class-II. The rafting difficulty of the area between Big Creek and Glacier Rim is of Class-III. The famous rapids of this region are Great Northern, Upper Fool Hen and Lower Fool Hen. The other one is Middle Flathead River rafting zone. This area is of rafting difficulty level of Class I-III. This area stretches from Beer Creek to John Stevens Canyon . Famous rapids of this area are Tunnel, Waterfall Narrows , Bonecrusher, Jaws, and Could Be Trouble etc.

There are some other whitewater rafting zones present is Montana . Some of them are Bitterroot River Rafting zone, Gallatin River Rafting zone, Lochsa River rafting zone, Stillwater River rafting zone, and Yellowstone River rafting zone.
