South Fork American River rafting zone is the most famous among the all three zones. The area satisfies the rafting needs of beginners as well as of the experienced rafters. This area also has two different sub-regions considering the height of the region. 1 or 2-day rafting tours are available through this rafting area. The whole region is approximately 21-miles long!
The wildness of the American River can be felt in Middle Fork American River rafting zone. This area is almost 17 miles long and 2000 feet deep. The rafting difficulty of this zone is Class IV. This area includes Driver's Ed and Catapult rapids. 1, 2 and 3 tours are available here.
The third zone is North Fork American River Rafting Zone. Rafting difficulty associated here is Class-IV. The main attraction here is the zigzag way of the flow of the river. This adds some more challenge for the rafters. This area is about 10 Miles long.
